About Silent Strike
The Silent Strike Story
Silent Strike Apparel was founded on a simple belief: the submarine community deserved better.
After more than sixteen years serving in the submarine force, I noticed that much of the apparel marketed to submariners felt generic, recycled, or disconnected from the culture it claimed to represent. The designs often featured familiar symbols, but they rarely captured the identity, traditions, humor, hardships, and values that define life beneath the surface.
Submariners operate in one of the most demanding environments in the world, where success depends on trust, competence, accountability, and endurance. The standards are high, the margin for error is small, and every sailor depends completely on the people around them. Those experiences create a culture rich with traditions, humor, lessons, and stories that outsiders rarely see—but insiders never forget.
Yet very little of the merchandise available seemed to reflect that reality.
I believed there was an opportunity to create something more authentic.
Not simply submarine-themed apparel, but apparel inspired by the mindset submariners carry with them long after they leave the boat: endurance, discipline, curiosity, adaptability, and purpose. Those qualities are forged beneath the surface, but they belong to anyone committed to becoming stronger than they were yesterday.
At the same time, I noticed another recurring challenge. Every fundraiser seemed to depend on one motivated volunteer. They chased artwork, collected sizes, answered late-night text messages, tracked payments, placed orders, sorted inventory, and handed out shirts one by one. Good ideas didn't fail because people didn't care—they failed because there simply weren't enough hours in the day.
I kept coming back to the same question:
Why can't there be a better way?
Why can't sailor-created ideas become premium apparel without placing the burden on a single volunteer?
Why can't a company preserve the identity of a crew while helping support the people who built it?
Silent Strike Apparel was built to solve both problems.
Our mission is to transform the stories, traditions, artwork, and values inspired by the submarine community into meaningful apparel that crews, families, and supporters can wear with pride. By partnering with commands, associations, and organizations, we help turn sailor-inspired ideas into high-quality apparel while creating opportunities to support the communities that inspired them.
When we say support, we mean it. Every Command Collection exists for one purpose: to raise money for the organization it represents. That's why 100% of the net profits from every Command Collection are donated back to that command or association. We don't use Command Collections to fund our business. We use them to strengthen the organizations that inspired them.
The first step in that mission began close to home.
Our first partnership was with the Space Coast Chief Petty Officers Association, demonstrating that community-driven ideas could become premium apparel while giving something meaningful back to the people behind them.
Today, Silent Strike continues to build on that vision.
We create apparel inspired by endurance, adventure, heritage, and strategic execution. We celebrate the stories of the sea, the people who carry them, and the values forged beneath the surface that continue to shape lives long after the voyage is over.
While our roots are firmly planted in the Silent Service, our mission extends far beyond it. We build apparel for people who believe character is earned through discipline, perseverance, and purpose—whether they wear a uniform, run a business, work a trade, or simply choose the harder path.
Because some stories deserve to be preserved.
Some traditions deserve to be carried forward.
Some values deserve to be worn.
And because
CHARACTER RUNS DEEP.
